A real visitor’s prompt and genogram

The visitor typed only a title. The generator invented the names, occupations and relationships, so every person in the chart is fictional. Shown without rewriting.

What you can do with the download

SVG and PNG

Download SVG for a scalable vector image or PNG for a flat picture. To change the generated content here, revise the description and generate again.

Editing after download

The PNG has no editable shapes. Open the SVG in Inkscape to edit vector objects. To change relationships, connections or layout here, revise the description and generate again.

Limits worth knowing first

30 requests / hour

Per IP address. A shared network shares the limit. All attempts count, including failures. At the cap, wait an hour and try again.

2,000 characters

Maximum input length. Shorten the description to the details that matter.

20,000 per 24 hours

Site-wide request capacity over a rolling 24 hours. If it is reached, try again in an hour.

0 accounts

No signup or personal history. Download your result before closing the tab.

  • This is a drawing aid, not a clinical record system. Review every relationship and symbol, and use anonymous labels instead of identifying case notes.

What happens to what you type

  1. We keep it

Your description, generated output, full response, hashed IP address and operational metadata are saved so we can enforce limits and check quality. We don’t delete them automatically yet; email us to request deletion.

  2. Good genograms may appear in Examples

Eligible prompts and results are shown publicly by default with the original prompt, until removed. Don’t enter names, client data or anything confidential.

  3. We never ask who you are

No account, name, email or payment.

Process

From case notes to a finished diagram

01

Name the people

List generations, partners, children, ages, and the index person in ordinary sentences.

02

Describe the ties

Add divorce, closeness, conflict, abuse, foster care, health conditions, or outside support systems.

03

Generate the record

The AI translates those facts into Schematex and renders the correct genogram or ecomap notation.

04

Export or refine

Download SVG or PNG, or continue in ChatDiagram when you need conversational revisions.

Details

Questions, answered plainly

Is GenogramMaker.ai really free?

Yes. The first result, SVG export, and PNG export are free with no account or payment gate. An hourly fair-use limit prevents automated abuse.

Does it use standard genogram symbols?

Yes. It supports standard male and female shapes, deceased and index markings, couple and child relationships, divorce, and emotional relationship lines.

Can it make ecomaps too?

Yes. Dedicated ecomap pages use the separate Schematex ecomap engine for family, school, work, health, legal, and community systems.

Is this a clinical record system?

No. It is a drawing aid. Review the result, follow your organization’s documentation rules, and avoid entering identifying information you should not share.
